Vrboska Town

Small town of Vrboska is located in a deep cove on the north side of the island of Hvar near the town of Jelsa. Vrboska has several attractions. One of the main sights is the Renaissance church of St. Mary, which was built in 1590. It has interesting appearance in that it looks like a fortress. You can get to the town by ferry or catamaran. First, you arrive in Stari Grad, which is town and port located on the other biggest cove on the island. Then you drive about ten kilometers from there to Vrboska.

Accommodation in Vrboska

In the town, you can easily find accommodation in a private apartment or hotel in Vrboska. You will find several rocky and gravel beaches around the town. The largest and the most attractive beach is near the hotel, i.e. tourist resort "Adriatic". You can play tennis, ping pong, beach volleyball, or enjoy other entertainment facilities. There area several restaurants with live authentic Dalmatian music to relax, and showers on the beach to refresh yourself. There is also a trail for walking or jogging. All around there are several small beaches that are built from layers of stone.
