CROATIAN TOURIST DESTINATIONS

Šibenik is town located at the delta of river Krka, about half way between Zadar and Split. Šibenik was build around fortress of St. Ana. The town has famous cathedral of St. James that was build of stone. The construction of the building lasted more than 100 years from 1430. to 1555. Stones that were used to build it were being brought from islands of Korčula, Brač, Rab, and Krk. One of the arhitects was Juraj Dalmatinac.
